Editing Users.

Changing a user's information

If you are an account administrator, you can edit a user and change their information and the channels they have access to. You can also make another user an account administrator or channel administrator. See User Permissions for more information.

To edit a user, open the hamburger menu in the top left corner, and select "Edit users". You can then search for an active user and change their information. If the user is already a member in a channel, then you can edit them simply by clicking on the blue link over their name.

Making another user an account admin for your account

Only customer administrators can edit users. If you'd like to make someone else a account administrator, you can change their Access Level to "Administrator".

Deactivating a user

You can permanently remove a user from FieldChat by clicking on the "Disable Account" button. Their message history will be retained.

Resetting a user's password

You can reset a user's password by clicking on the "Generate Temporary Password". A temporary code will be created that the user can use to login. It will expire in 24 hours.

Changing a user's user name
